About me…

I’m Fiona, a qualified person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in Portlethen. I am a registered member of both COSCA and BACP, giving you assurance that my work is regulated and held to the highest ethical standards. I have worked with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, separation/divorce, sexuality, being overwhelmed and many other challenging aspects of life. I strive to provide a safe, confidential, accessible and inclusive space for clients to talk and process, and have experience working with neurodiverse and LGBT+ clients.

I have first hand experience of the joys and challenges that can accompany caring for a loved one with a disability or additional support needs. It can often be a lonely and overwhelming place, with very little support to examine your own needs or feelings. If this resonates with you, perhaps Hillside Counselling can support by offering you a space to speak, and receive understanding and empathy.

At Hillside Counselling, you're not just a client, but a cherished part of our journey together. I am grateful for the trust clients put in me, and for what I am privileged to learn from every individual story. Witnessing clients become empowered and finding their path is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role. Whatever it is that has brought you to counselling, I will be beside you. I’m here to listen, understand, and help you navigate life's challenges with empathy and unconditional acceptance.
